The films of Karø Goldt explore the boundary between subject matter, object and abstraction, temporality. They create an image-concept that not only never seems complete, but always questions the process and construction of the image itself, while also defining an image as a kind of unfinished description, definition and self reflexion. The permanent challenge of the image and its reorganisation seem to be an essential part of a continuously growing pictoral universe. In the process of colour changes during the films, the dynamic change of hues as well as the spatial potential of colour are increasingly becoming visible. Finally, the substantial dimension of film colour is connected to sound and relates to the discourse of synaesthetic perception in the sense of a cinematic colour-light-music. Through meticulous study and disguise of real objects on one hand, and through creation of virtual image worlds that remind of realities on the other hand, the films reach a state of the in-between.
